Digitaalinen kaksonen mahdollistaa valmistavalle teollisuudelle digitaalisen takaisinkytkennän suunnittelupöydältä valmistukseen ja tuotteen käyttöön. Kierroksen jokainen vaihe tuottaa dataa hyödynnettäväksi niin tuotannon optimointiin kuin suunnittelun nopeuttamiseen.

Takaisinkytkentä tuotekehitykselle tapahtuu kyvykkäissä IoT järjestelmissä hyödyntäen koneoppimista ja useita lähteitä kuten video, puhe, älykkäät anturit jne. Watson-tekoäly toimii digitaalisen kaksosen kognitiivisena käyttöliittymänä kommunikoinnissa sekä tiedon jalostamisessa ja esittämisessä. Käyttäjä voi yksinkertaisesti kysyä, mistä ongelmasta tuotteen vikaantumisessa on kyse, ja tekoäly kykenee antamaan vastauksen.

Tilaisuudessa kuulet, miten luot toimivan tuotekehitysmallin hyödyntämällä koneoppimista, digitaalista kaksosta ja IoT dataa.

Digital product engineering –
In this talk we discuss the state of the art of product engineering as envisioned and evolved in the industry. Complex products such as control systems, aerospace and defense, automotive and medical devices rapidly becoming more functionally rich and complex, where significant part of the complexity is dominated by embedded software. Global markets competition, increasing regulation, put more pressure for shortening time to marked with increased quality. It advancements with big data, service based architecture and IoT enable today innovative approaches for digital and integrated product lifecyle, supporting key concepts like digital threads and digital twins, model based engineering and decision support with advanced analytics, enabling effective, rapid and high quality engineering.

Using AI and Machine Learning in Engineering –
In this talk we will discuss how advancements in machine learning and AI are leveraged throughout the engineering lifecycle. Significant part of engineering data relies on unstructured natural language that until recently could only be interpreted and analyzed by humans. Today with technologies like natural language processing artifacts like requirements, change requests and verification procedures can be analyzed and various engineering activities can be automated. Machine learning also helps in analyzing historical patterns and support decision making. We will illustrate existing application and opportunities for future applications of AI as part of the engineering lifecycle.

Presenter: Eran Gery WW solution leader

WW technical lead for IBM Product Engineering Solutions.  Eran’s responsibility is to lead the engineering practices and solution architectures for IBM’s key customer in industrial space, primarily A&D and Automotive industries. This includes key customers engagements around engineering transformations and successful solution deployments for the IBM Engineering platform.

Eran’s expertise includes Systems and Software Engineering practices, Engineering Lifecycle Management, Model Based Engineering, Product Line Engineering, and application of AI to Engineering. This includes both the conceptual industry perspective and also detailed expertise on how to implement solutions with the IBM ELM platform.

Eran has over 20 years of experience within the complex systems domain and engineering lifecycle management. He is involved with key customers in Aerospace/Defense, Automotive, and other industries around digital engineering transformational processes, he lead and was involved in few large wins of IBM ELM in the Automotive, A&D, and other industrial accounts. He is also a frequent speaker in conferences and seminars worldwide on engineering transformation topics. . Prior to this Eran was the technical lead for IBM’s product line engineering solution, and the development manager and the principal architect of the Rhapsody MBSE product at IBM. Eran was also part of the founding UML and SysML specification teams in the Object Management Group (OMG).
